Depending on your budget I would start with the most affordable ACT HDSS. But if you got the money then Exedy Twin plate

try the exedy cerametallic clutch. I think from gruppe-s.com you can get it with a lightned flywheel for like 500 bucks or so.

I was also considering the RRE "no name" clutch. What I don't exactly understand is, it's rated a 3,200 lbs clamping load. I understand a max HP or torque rating, but how does that compare to "3,200 lbs"? How do I know if it will handle my current and planned mods? Anyone?

The ACT and Exedy Singles would be more than enough. If you are not planning on Dragging or gaining much more power than aforementioned mods, then those would be great replacements and in your price range I'm sure. I purchased an ATS twin and wish I hadn't at the time only because of the driveability of the twin itself. I have just now started to get the power to utilize the clutch to its potential. I could've used that money somewhere else as well. Anyway, good luck on your purchase, they make a huge difference in the driving..
