CNC ported FP Green hotsides and O.E. exhaust manifolds

I'm thinking of CNC porting some FP Green hotsides and O.E. exhaust manifolds. This would ensure high quality, consistant port work. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Indy

I would be interested.. Maybe even porting some Stock Turbo hotsides as well.. We have a stock IX turbo car on e-85 that we would love to use as a test subject..

that would be pretty sweet. I would like to see the comparison of a CNC manifold to a ported one.

i would be interested in a comparison of the existing ported manifolds versus the cnc ported ones. However one thing to bring up is the price.

Not knocking on your existing intake manifold or anything but i'm just expressing my personal opinion that if it costs nearly as much to port the exhaust/hotside as it does the intake manifold, it wouldn't be worth it for most of us stockish turbo guys to invest in one.

Current port work for a manifold is like 150. If the cnc ones crank out like 5 more hp, i'm not gonna be paying anything more than 225ish.

I was gonna mention that. It is mainly for consistency. Not looking for a fight on this indy when I say this but I really don't see much more power to be made. I could be wrong. The dyno graphs will prove this though.

If it makes significant power/transient response gains (even 5whp) over the options that are already out there, then I say hell yea! It is definitely worth trying, and if there's any way to keep the cost down it would be a massive popularity/sales boost. Perhaps this will end the debate of what a 'properly' ported manifold looks like

in short: DO IT!

lol seriously, I know indy seems like a perfectionist but the exhaust manifold is very different from the intake one. Seems as the ported intake one with a big turbo makes big power. However, I don't see a ported exhaust one making that much more power on a stock like turbo.

Might be worth the cash for big turbo guys to shell out money for a perfectly ported intake manifold but I don't think thats the case for us stock turbo guys.

All CNC ported parts start with a part that is hand ported as a template. The CNC porting process just takes out the variation from part to part, in most cases. If Indy ports the first one, the rest will be just like it, without the hassle and variation of hand porting.

Indy has shown the capability to find power with parts that others thought were not possible. I'd sure be happy to see what he finds in the turbine housing and exhaust manifold. The proof is in the pudding. I'm getting my bowl out of the cupboard right now.

P.S. Darn, right after I spent the $ to buy 10 carbide porting bits, too....

CO_VR4, Thanks for the call I'm thinking of adding any hotside to this mix. Once I get more feedback and talk to Robert at Forced Performance I will decide if this would be in the best interest to the community. Thanks Again, Indy

I totally agree with CO_VR4 in the sense that anything Indy Evo touches he will do great things with. His back round is a just a little bit more impressive than most to say at the least. lol.

Why would you not think he could do better with the exh mani and hotside if he already outdid every manifold on the market on his first try pretty much. People just like to start drama. Its like this small a$$ town I live in. Everyone just wants to start drama and watch it all boil over.

IMO I think great things are going to come fromy Buschur Racing with IndyEvo engineer Indy-Nascar level performance parts.

Nobody is hating in this thread. I love how that is the first thing that people must say. The argument is price. Indy I know you have an idea of how much this will cost. As stated before if this is too much you shouldn't even waste your time.
