SO my trans is at shep racing at the moment and I can't decide if I want to get the evo 9 first gear put in it. Is it worth it? How many out there have one in their trans? Comments and input is needed asap so they can start digging in.

Im not sure what that means.

 

im pretty sure he means a 1st and 5th gear set from a ix into his viii tranny

 

Shep does not list it as an option. I am looking for opinions from the people that have the 8 gearing with the 9 first gear ratio.

just evo 9 first gear .. the evo 8 5th is longer ...
But it all fall undar what do you use the car for ... drag racing evo9 1st rest evo 8
autocross evo ix gears ..

 

i have pick up mpg just by switching to the evo 8 gear 2-5th but i still have crazy 1st gear ..

 

Its mostly going to be for street and strip. Gas milage means nothing to me its all about how fast it will go down the 1/4

I have them from shep I love them , but then again I'm a strokers so I need all the gears I can get

 

haha, I feel ya. Well I tried shep but he is out for the day, i just dont have patience. Ah screw it, I'll just get the 9 1st ratio.
