YEP Keep your current setup and do baffles and a acusump to take care of the oil pressure issue. You may just have to wait for the trany to get done in the off season tho being in mid season now.

Stick with what you know that works and what is the best power wise

IMO it's a wash as far as shifting goes. A 2.0 will drop you down into 2nd gear in the slower stuff, whereas the 2.3 runs out of gearing up top. It would be really nice if someone (cough TRE...) could give us a slightly longer 4th gear - something like a .96 to .99 4th gear would be ****. Anything larger than a stock turbo car can really use a larger gap between 3rd and 4th.

2.3 with a 30R is so much fun.

Mine made 490 480 on c16 with hks 272 cams, stock intake, stock ecu, stock intake manifold.... with real cams, an ems, and a intake manfiold you could be looking at 530 530 with peak tq at 4500 rpms or so

Sharkbite, what does your modified 4th gear run out to(mph)? What rpm are you shifting at on your stroker?

8400rpm! Is it that 2.3rr motor? I can't fathom your piston speeds at 8400rpm on a 2.3 setup.

Stroker at 8400 RPM = 14m/s
2.0L at 9600 RPM = 14.08m/s

It's fast, but not absolutely crazy.

What gear ratio is your 4th? I thought the tallest 4th gear made was something like a 1.031, which is what's in my 2003 Evo VIII ...
