EVO Red pump gas/race gas dyno numbers.
Pretty awesome.
Dave do you have a sheet of a BR 2 litre build running a 30R that you could overlay onto this? I think the Red might have the GT30 turbos beat but would be cool to to see an overlay if you have the time.
Or maybe a stroked 35R?

To get correct wtq/whp numbers, the pulls should be made in the gear that is closest to 1.00:1. For us, it's 4th gear. If it's a 6 speed it would probably be 5th gear. By doing the pull at 1:1 ratio, the MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE of the transmission doesn't play a part in the final numbers. That's why all of the tuning runs we made were in 3rd gear, less stress on the motor, but still good to tune to. Then, when final pulls are made, the whp/wtq will increase, due to less mechanical advantage. Think of it in the same light as a fulcrum and lever. The longer the lever, the more mechanical advantage you have and the less amount of work is required to move the other end(weight/resistance). 1:1 it's the same force (resistance) on each side. For tuning, 3rd is fine, then 4th for final tuning. At least, that's how I've done it and the same for DB. I think I've seen several other Top tuners do the same. Put a car on a dyno in 3rd, do a pull. Then, go to 4th and do a pull. Big difference in numbers.
I will give it hell tonight at the track, If i had to guess on an ET i would say 10.3-10.4. @ 132-133. I will post up times later tonight. Thanks Dave for everything!! I will try to not disappoint you
I believe on Dave White RS the HTA30r with .82A/R made 484whp @ 22psi with c16 I might be wrong on the gas he might of used q16. Either way this red looks pretty good
wow, what amazes me is that wide torque band, must be a blast to drive! I would love to run this turbo, looks like the ultimate street turbo to me, quick spool and great power even on pump.
I think the Red will replace the market (which has really dwindled ever since the Green was released) for the 50-trim kits floating around the market.
I remember a few years back the 50-trim was the hot turbo, but wow how things have changed.
I'm very anxious to see the gains from the Wilson V0 intake manifold; I think it'll mate up nicely with the FP Red

Just to clarify I will not be driving, Trent is but, if I were to drive I tell you what I would give hell: transmission, transfercase and anything else in the drivetrain.
Good luck Trent.
Good luck Trent.
