I finally got it on my own EVO9. I am running 27-26psi on it now and the shaft speed is still way under the max.

BOOST ON!

How about some #'s compared to the other bad *** turbos you have had on your own car.

I doubt there will be a BB FPRed directly from FP, just based on the fact that they haven't done that with stock mod turbos in the past. If you want one though the folks in the UK will probably have one modified in no time. Dollar to Pound exchange rate is a ***** though.

Robert: Can/will FP cut the 9.8 housing to work with the Red's turbine wheel, upon request? Or will it only be configured with the 10.5 housing?

Here is a requested log from the Red on Trent's car.

Some basic numbers.

Pull was run from 2300 rpm to 8100 rpm in 4th gear.

20 psi was reached at 3656 rpm.

Peak boost was 28.36 psi.
Boost at 8,000 rpm was 24.73 psi.

Coolant temps were 179.6 degrees.
AIT's started at 73 degrees and ended at 96 degrees.
AFR was 11.4's.

Peak power was 405, peak torque was 377.

This run was done on 93 octane Shell fuel.

Here is the screen shot of the pull.

good info David, are you seeing more AIT increase during the pull due to the smaller turbo spinning to 28psi? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I remember a lesser increase with the 35R which would make sense to me.

Glad to see the AIT data. I've been wondering about how road racing friendly this mighty mite would be compared to a larger turbo running lower boost and I think this info. is very informative on answering that.

It may have to do with ambient air temps? Just as an example, yesterday while looging, when I first started up the car (everything nice and cold) I logged 86-88deg air temps (It was about 82 deg outside). After the car was running for a few minutes air temps rose to 99deg (and this is with-out even jabbing the throttle). A quick spin around the block and the temps never dropped or went higher then 105-109..... But a 2nd and 3rd gear pull showed temps dropping from 109 down to 95deg.

I think alot of that air temp increase has more to do with the car warming up from a 'cool enough to touch exhahst manni' temp.

Maybe DB will let us know what air temps were at his facility?

No,, I log gm ait sensor through my aem ( Just installed the sensor and was having some fun with it yesterday). It's on the uicp. Bung is welded closer to the front of the car where the factory boost solenoid is located.

I'm on a full race manni and 35r. I also run a cold air duct. (Faster I drive, the colder it gets!!)

ok, just making sure we were comparing apples to apples as I didn't know what your setup was.

also, I imagine AIT temps measured on a dyno could be considerably higher during a 3rd or 4th gear pull compared to on the road. The dyno fans are at a fixed speed and airflow through the FMIC wouldn't increase with RPM.

Agreed.

Dyno plays games with ait's compared to the road. Also keep in mind that the hood is open for the pull.

When I logged air temp with the mas, Opening the hood would always drop temps by 10deg or so. This funky VIS carbon fiber hood of mine dropped intake temps down 5-10deg as well. (pics in my sig. under menu>drop down> car meet 5/08)
