Doesn't sound normal. What are your mods? Do you have a mini-battery?

If I can remember right, someone on here had their wire harness burnt and it might have been related to their mini battery. Something about the ground.

I've seen a couple do that. It's not unheard of, I wouldn't say its 100% normal either.

Check the wire harness for the coils and the DLI very closely. See if there are any wires chaffed that may be touching metal. If the trigger wire is shorted to ground it will melt a coil like that. There is also a possibility that the DLI has an issue and is causing the issue. If you have a misfire with a new coil installed, bypass your DLI and see if it goes away.

Good luck

yeah the bolts to the coil were tight and i already changed the burnt coil.
the car is fine now, no misfires or anything but i still what to make sure that i don't have a bigger problem causing this.
i did check the DLI harness for any exposed wires or anything else but nothing.
