Megan Manifold Problems

I know it has been discussed, but just wanted to give my latest discovery. I found a tiny crack in mine and dynoed back to back with a stock one. I gained 10 hp and 20 tq by installing a stock exhaust manifold. It is my suggestion to anyone that has a Megan exhaust manifold to throw it out and buy a ported Buschur unit. The one I borrowed(thanks Ryan and Felix) for the test was partially ported by the owner. I would've liked to try a BR ported, but we needed to continue dyno testing.

Thanks for the info. I have tested some of the headers a few years ago. I found the same thing.

No problem. I would've liked to just of installed yours, but it is almost time to send the RS up there so need to waist the time on it. I am running the car one more time and it is good night on the stock turbo stuff.

This sucks. I don't have the megan manifold but it might as well be. I have the xs-power, which started to crack on me as well.

Most Wanted, your times are insane!

How much money you want to bet that if you installed a BR ported you see at least 5hp and 10tq more? I'm not going to get into a debate here, but pull it off and look at the inside along where the runners are joined and tell me what you see It cracks there as well and you can't even see that its cracked. I've given my advice, you can ignore it if you chose.

Ive had mine at least 2 years and its fine. All tublar manifolds get cracks even the most expensive ones. Everyone that I know that tested there's got about a 10 to 20 hp and tq gain with the Mani alone. U be the judge. You can spend two or three times as much it dosent mean it won't crack.
