Hi , I was removing my tc because ACD fluid was leaking outside tc housing
along hole where I connect axleshaft. I saw that seals 5 and 9 was destroyed.
My question is :

Is it broken part 12 and Should I buy new transfercase?
Is it possible to change seals and will be OK? In mitsubishi shop they have only seal nr 5. They said that seal 9 I can't buy.

 

So the axle seals are leaking? Looks like 5+9 are the same seal?

 

I have new information, I know what happen. This disk's in ACD clutch
weared off .Give me advice what to do please, Is it time to buy new tc?
Ring and pinion looks fine.

 

Heh I had a bad situation happen.

I had a pin hole on the hat of my ACD Part of the case, took it to a well known local shop who the people I knew, got it welded, put the motor in my car, went to back my car out, the wheels were locked up, the car wouldnt move.

We took the hat off the Tcase, the ACD clutches were put back in wrong. Well we put them in right (with the Tcase in the car, witch was a B1tch) drove it all good for a week until the Tcase started screaming. Pulled the plug on the case, milky fluid came out. The ACD fluid mixed with the Diaqueen in the Tcase.


Well I bought a used 03 Case. Swapped my 05 diff in the 03 case, and the ring and pinion looked just fine, it was the clutches and all were toast. Put it back in and it still whines. So just cause the ring and pinion looks fine doesnt mean the lash is not out or another problem. The bearing for the ACD part was shot, we were positive that was the noise.



Buy a used case if you can, and do what I did, if the 05 Diff is good, then put it in the 03 case, we swapped parts over, if you want to PM me and send it off to me, ill work something out with ya.
So imma take te 03 pinion and put it in there and see how that does.
