I am trying to get my hands on this heavy duty thrust bearing from FP, since my green has developed back and fort shaft play. I am not screaming "warranty this and warranty that", i just want the bearing to rebuild it my self.

 

Hmmm, I think I may have to agree with lemmonhead on this one. BOTH are at fault. The guy shouldn't have asked for the money, and taken the replacement BUT I also feel FP should've also replaced the other turbo due to the fact that the guy disproved what Robert said about the whole TSB, BUT NO MONEY. I think if they would have done that it would have saved FP and the OP headaches. Especially if they really believe in their product and it's reliability. Robert also should've never insulted anyone, cause that makes his company look shady, and unpleasant to deal with. With that said I have seen my fair share of Greens needing rebuilds to be completely honest but shrugged them off thinking they were just being abused, boosted to extremely high rpms etc. I'm going to see how things play out, but I'm going to have to be completely honest I thought I was DEAD SET on a red. Now I'm on the fence. Maybe I might have to just cough up the extra dough for an hta35r (which I also know is built by FP). DECISIONS.....UGHHHH I HATE THIS THREAD.

 

I have to agree with FP on this one. I live in one of the most concentrated suby markets in the world. Our local awd board is 98% suby, and we are pushing 7500 members. Most are great guys and many are my good friends, but honestly from all the suby boards I've been a part of, when a suby driver is a douche bag, they're the grand pooba douche to end all douches. Take every evo douche here on this board, add them up, and that's the attitude of these uber douches. This is all personally witnessed, not just hearsay.

Robert, f your suby products! Those unnapreciative dillweeds don't want your products then fine, ditch em and focus on the comunity that loves you. Maybe that'll cut down wait lists on greens and reds!

 

Yes, that's the way to go. Completely discontinue a line for a huge market, because you ****ed up Robert. Great business tactics! What you said about subaru drivers doesn't even make sense. Seriously, re-read what you said and then tell me if you can get anything contructive out of it. If the OP was out of line, we would say so. he has well documented anything and everything and clearly FP is the douche in this case. He could have coughed up the 2600, and saved himself, something i would estimate from iwsti alone, about $20,000. Just wait till Nasioc is back up and they get wind of this over there. Oh and you have no idea what your talking about, the Green and Red for the EVO are NOT the same for the subarus. So sorry, you'll still have to be put on the list for your piece of **** turbo

 

Exactly. Maybe that way the build times will be shorter on the new FP Evo Reds.

 

Unfortunately this is so true - and my local group has plenty of examples. Something is up with those guys - Save for the few decent suby owners that are actually embarrassed to be associated with most other suby owners. *shrugs*

 

Seriously, you guys should go back to your own boards. Did a bunch of evo guys go join iwsti for the sole purpose of defending him like some suby drivers did here? That right there proves my point. And to the guy talking about he only expects stellar above average results from a performance company, get a life. That's one more customer FP DOESN'T need. Was it ever in a written agreement anywhere in all of this that robert said he would pay 2600? And why should he HAVE to pay someone to keep his good name?
Our evo green and red turbos are amazing, so much so that there are month+ long waits to get them, and HAVE been that way pretty much since the green debuted and the red will stay that way. At 1800$ for either turbo, FP could focus on evo turbos and easily make up the 20k loss you predict in a matter of weeks probably just on the backordered turbos alone. Buy an evo, then come join our community, but if you are a suby driver and are here just to start problems then stfu and gtfo. Your actions in this thread are NOT going to lose any evo business for FP.

You are on IWSTi and are passive there when people attacked you for defending FP and retracted some of your statement. Then when you are on here, you complain about suby owners, like its one big persona type for all owners. Then you talk **** about suby owners and back up FP, just because you have all your evo buds to back you up.

Here is an idea. Grow a pair and stick by your statements, whether you are alone or have support.

That's more of a life lesson that anything if you think about it. Sucks it had to come from someone my age hahaha.

The _only_ statement i retracted was insulting XX. you have no base of an argument. I can't speak for FP's products or services, all i can speak on is that Maj was completely in the wrong judging on just the correspondence between himself and FP.

well then why are you backing up FP if you haven't dealt with them directly, nor have you said that you plan on using them in the future. I also have personal experience with FP and they flat out suck.

Explain to me this, how was Majin in the wrong? There is obviously something wrong with the turbos if he put his vf-39 on and ran it for NO problems. If robert would have refunded him the money he would have gladly sent in the turbos and robert could have sold them as rebuilds to make some of the money back. instead he insulted majin on a different board. . he did not use his mod status as a bargaining tool. he told robert that he feels that he has an obligation to the suby community and if robert did refund majin the money, he would have written out a post supporting FP.

And yes, you did insult XX, maybe you should watch what you say before you say/type it then? I don't retract statement i make because i think before i type

If you think FP handled it well with majin, how do you think they handled it after it went public? I don't think ANYONE can say FP has been professional about this in ANY way since that post has been posted.
