type-s leak at idle

type-s leak at idle

Well i have a moded type-s ........man i tighten that thing all the way loosen it and it is still leaking at idle you can hear a whistle from the intake with the a/c on..............i dont know what to do and now i cant put the second spring in cause i lost it and i cant find it anywhere.........im about to loose my mind.....and no im not gonna put the stock one back cause then whats the point to have spent that money on something that im not gonna use...........can anyone help here.....how many threads should stick out from the nut when u adjust it???? any one experienced there bov leaking at idle???

i dont know what to do should i T the second nipple to the waste gate??? ive heard pf people doing this will this solve my problem and close my valve at idle?

You might of pierced the diaphram by overtighten it.

is your idle bad or something?

anyway there are a lot of BOV 's that are always open at idle

i think the forge one is open at idle

the diaphram did look a little screwed.......now that u remind me...how can i get a new one.....the ones offered the the greddy site are way too expensive...any other places where it might be avaliable at?

Type S is garbash, it really is, it is hard to find a Good BOV, I am going with a Crushed 1G unit, it'll hold 25PSI fine and works identical to stock.

I would wholeheartedly disagree - the Type S is just fine - uses a piston design, which is as good as it gets IMHO, and works the same way as a stock 1G unit does.....

Your first line says you have a modded Type S..what exactly did you mod?
