Not sure if it was from my manifold leak, but I fried a coil this weekend at Summit Point after doing a session with a nice chunk of my manifold-turbo gasket missing on the passenger side. I got a replacement coil and drove it easy back home no problems.
Should be ok to move around but I wouldn't get on it too much.
I don't know why I even bothered putting on Megan gaskets, should have bought new OE stuff.

Removing the manifold is pretty easy if you've done it before. Buy a set of new gaskets (two for the turbo, one for the head/manifold). You can drive indefinitely with a blown manifold gasket but you will be down on power and performance (turbo will not spool up as quick, and your top end will be lower). Just find a DSM guy to help you with the gasket install, they know this process all too well.

Sorry for reviving an old thread. Can you replace the gasket where the manifold meets the head without having to undo the bolts at the opposite end of the headers? Basically, can I undo the bolts where the manifold meets the head and pull the manifold off the studs to fit the new gasket?
