small filter robbing power?

hey guys,

I have this K&N filter that i want to run.Its a SMALL filter. Its has a 4 inch flange, and is about 4" tall.Is running a filter this small robbing power? It doesnt feel like it.The only reason I have it in is because the cops are cracking down in my area, and this is small enough to fit in my stock airbox.

I just wanted to see what others think.thanks!

I don't know if it robs you any power, I'd guess not since it's really wide, but mad props for making it stealth as hell. I really might consider doing this!

I run this same filter, and I am sure it isnt robbing me of power... I researched and went w/ this one cause I was having issues w/ my filters chafing on my ACD reservoir. I like what you did w/ yours and the stock air box.

I think I've heard this before, but just don't understand. You mean to say that cops in California will write you a ticket for mods? If so, I'm stunned.

I have a couple buddies where its painful to ride behind their cars for too long with open exhausts, no cats, and running a little rich. But never heard of any cops even so much as mention, gee, smells like a problem -- let me check your car out. Or would you mind popping your hood. This happens?!?!?

Another reason why I am glad to be in the midwest.
