If FP has any copyright on the "Green turbo" I would think they could put this joker out of business.

5 blade compressor wheel, 11 blade hot side wheel.

I seem to remember the 5 bladed "greens" having bad surging issues all the time.

 

I actually have one of the Chinese 20G's that we took off of my friends car. I warned him not to buy one and even found him a great deal on a low miles FP Green, but all he could say was "this one's brand new" . Anyhow 250 miles later we had to take it off and replace it with a decent turbo. It howled so loud that I thought his T-case was going bad!!!! I will see if I can post a video of the play in the shaft. As previously stated, anything with moving parts I will NOT buy from China or any company that you can't hold accountable.

Awesome! Well about the only thing I can say is that I hope nobody expects FP to service one of those.

You guys are correct about the name, they are violating laws by using it. Wouldn't it be refreshing if a chinese company made a product that didnt suck, called it some new name like "purple people eater" that had never been used before, sponsored some race cars, promoted their own brand and trademarks and became successful in their OWN RIGHT without stealing the goodwill of others? Ok, time to wakeup - must create new ideas so they will have something new to copy next season.

come on guys.... we have seen knock off 20g's on cars before (not neccessarily evo's)...

china manufacturing is some of the best in the world.... we have a client with a machine shop over there.... and some workings with some people over there on another business side.

the thing is, i highly doubt these guys did any R&D on anything.....

id buy a real turbo over this

Itd be great if china came out with something worth ripping off so we could return the favor of ignoring their intellectual property laws.

 

Or wouldn't it be great if people in the US would stop being cheap & stupid and buy from whoever has the lowest price and/or best marketing hype? I wouldn't be so quick to blame just the Chinese, it takes two to tango.
