Cam/idle Question

I'm going to be buying a set of cosworth m2 cams for my evo9 and had a few questions. I just installed my green/meth/clutch and need a set of cams then a good tune. =) Also id there any other cams some1 would recommend?

Will these work with stock valves?
Hows idle on these?
Will they be good for daily/driver?

I'm doing the Kelford 272s and both work with stock valves but are highly recommended to have upgraded valve springs and retainers. Do a search and u will find tons of posts with vids of idle...they are nice and fine for daily driven cars. Who will be tuning the car in NJ? I'm in NJ too...

great cams just as long as valvetrain is upgraded similar specs and performance as kelford 272

They will work with stock valves, springs, and retainers. Cosworth also makes very good cams

I believe the idle is dependent on the tune as well as the cams so if Ivey is tuning it it could be as loppy or refined as you want.

They are fine for a DD but if you want a little more low end power with the set up you have go with 264intake/272 exhaust

Awesome cams. I have the M2's myself but I upgraded my springs (Cosworth) while I was there. I love my idle. I had it tuned to idle at 900 rpms. You won't be sorry with this setup. I daily drive my IX. The only issue I've had is that on some occasions with the AC on as I coast in nuetral to a stop the car will shut off. No big deal. The pros definately outweigh the cons and that's the only con. Good luck with your choice.
