Threads like these give meth a bad name. With the correct failsafes you shouldn't have to worry about issues of meth failing or fuel pumps failing. I have about 4 different failsafes working as a team. NOT saying motors don't blow with failsafes...if the detonation is great enough it will blow. Rods give out while just cruising.

Meth is one of the best setups you can have and has proven results.

I say throw the kit back on WITH the correct failsafes. Think of it as wearing 2 s and having relations with a beautiful woman that you know has something. Wearing the s in the majority of situations will prevent STD's

lol good luck

I assume its head studs for the new short block, or upgrading current short block?

with these upgrades you would still (or should still) upgrade the turbo. So might as well do it sooner than later.

Basically you just need a turbo, manifold, wastegate, injectors and a downpipe.

This will be more expensive (only problem) than re installing your meth kit that you already have, but you will make good power on pump gas, more than you will make on pump and meth on a stock turbo.
already have 880cc injectors installed

I don't think anyone is trying to give meth a bad name. Its just most people who have posted seem to not feel its worth the gains.

I assume everyone does their own research and mods their cars accordingly.

Although meth is a great inexpensive way to get more power by having a better octane mixture to add timing and boost. I personally don't feel comfortable with it.

I feel building the motor and going with all the other supporting mods is the best choice cause it helps me sleep at night. That is just my opinion and that is why i recommend everyone do their own research and go with what you feel comfortable with.

ok lets see:

complete meth setup $1000+350 for good failsafes vs $5000+ upgraded turbo & built motor....the results are real nice. For the price of race gas I always vote meth.

And the thread to most will come off as meth being the culprit 100% for the damage

Greg installed my AEM kit parts and labor for $700. I've had no issues since the install. I love it.

Greg is good peoples but when he installed my Excedy Twin Disk HD he put the wrong disks in the wrong place. Mike and Chris @ AWD motorsports found this out when they pulled my motor.

I'm sorry to hear about the bad luck you've had with our local shops. I've never used KAW but I've heard nothing but great things about them. I know Juanito personally and he knows his stuff. I have used MGW numerous times and never had an issue with them. Good Luck.
