Or not....

I put in the walboro, fixed all the boost leaks and no difference. I found out the car had a turbo trix flash on it. I have reflashed it to stock maps and stock boost because I had some knock, but no differece, maybe slightly less power. I recently called the original owner who claims he got a bunch of things done at Turbo Trix but they said I had to come in for them to see what it had. I'm not sure if I was clear that I'd been told the work was done there. I'll call back.

I'm still dead even with the 04 wrx that only has a reflash, not a STI mind you. The turbo has some shaft play as stated before but I didn't think it was enough to be a big deal.

TBE w/ HF cat, MBC at 18psi, K&N drop in, ACT prolite & HDSS, 1g BOV, walboro 255...

Should this have more power? I mean I should dick an 04 wrx with just a flash. I pull away okay in 1&2 but 4&5 its dead even.

I have some knock on spool up but its not all the time and its not a lot of counts. I'm just disappointed in the power, everything else is great, it just doesn't pull hard. Its smooth and doesn't break up at all, it just doesn't feel like it has the power it should. If I had the money I'd just buy a IX turbo but I wanna make sure I buy what I really need as I'm fairly broke.

If I had more time I'd be working on the car instead of in here but I'm very busy with school, so I was just hoping I could get some others' thoughts on what might be going on. Hope this all makes sense

Stock boost is 19.5psi, tapering from there... so if your running 18 you need to go up a little. Sounds like you may have more issues though. If your knocking your tune is off and you should get it fixed, and how do you know how many counts your getting?
Your close to York, have it tuned at CBRD.

I have the tephra 5.8 on it so I get the cel flash and I've logged it a bit I just don't have a WB to tune with. I'm spiking a little bit over 19psi and holding 18psi.

Could a tune make that big of a difference, especially as the car runs smoothly and just runs rich and knocks a bit. I've seen 25whp or so but if I had to guess 25whp wouldn't put me to were I should be. I'm guessing my mods should support 280whp on 93. I feel as though I'm more than a tune away from that mark...

Get used to doing a boost leak test.
either user error, or junk product, that will make that occur, just make sure everything is tight, were its supposed to be and EVERYTHING is zip tied or clamped down.

I fixed up all my leaks. The BOV starts to leak a little at 20 and my injector o rings leak a bit but only small stuff. I'm working on that stuff but its definitely not severe enough to be the problem. My type s was just dumping out air all the time and fixing that made only a little difference.

No one on here is just going to be able to tell you what is wrong with your car. If you want it fixed get it looked at by a professional. Your not far from one of the best shops in the county IMO. Take it there and have your dreams come true... Don't expect to make 280whp on that MustangDyno though.

if you are leaking fuel, that will definetly affect things... as will throttle body seals... which is very common.... causing the car to go rich by leaking pressurized air...

A car with tbe and upped boost will barely outperform a bone stock evo.

you need to get custom tuned. Thats your difference.

also a bone stock evo will buslink a evo with just a k&n intake.

those are junk.

I'm def running rich. I shot a flame last night and I have a cat. I guess a WB and intake are in order. Thanks for all the input and I realize these questions are kinda pointless without looking at the car first hand but since I can't work on it right now I felt compelled to do something or just rant a little.
