hks intake safe w/o tune?
i just ordered my hks intake, (yes i am aware of the filter issues and i plan on taking verry good care of it) ive heard that it upsets the MAF w/o a tune and will cause you to run rich/stall?
im trying to avoid getting tuned untill my entire setup is done so i only have to pay for it once as opposed to getting it done with every mod.
basicaly, is it safe to run a full TBE and HKS intake for at MOST a month without damaging anything?
***yes, i searched and couldnt find anything regarding saftey issues, just running lean and some stalling issues***

ok cool.. yeah i am getting a tune ASAP, i am throwing on my DP and o2 housing and intake this week, ordering my hks 272s next week and should have it tuned soon i just dont want a bunch of parts laying around and a bunch of things on the to-do list at once.
Hell no not safe. lol. My idle would jump from 200rpm to 1100rpm radically. And then one time when i got on it real hard in 2nd at like 5k the whole car just turned off. i though i blew my motor or something. started it right back up, sayed F*** this ill wait and threw my stock intake back on. i would wait for a tune.

The car will just run a little lean during spool (like 13.3 AFR), and a tad leaner midrange so dont go hog wild on boost or run shyt gas
If you drive in dusty/sandy areas a good amount of it will pass right through the engine. So change your engine oil on a shorter interval.

You guys are chickens the reason why I say that is I got a base map flash. Then I ordered my HKS RS intake and I ran that intake with the dirty filter for maybe a year ran it at the track no problems at all. I even ran a 12.5 I think was my best on that setup. you will be fine
