Internal to external WG conversation?

Just wondering if anyone has done this on there evo. I've seen it done on DSM's and know a couple of subie guys that have done this. if you have can you post up some pics. i'm interested to see what this setup would look like on a evo.

turbochargers.com has done it before. i dont have pics but i was considering doing that but i ended but getting a whole new kit. they said all they had to do was weld the w.g flap closed then weld a pipe off my header with a flang on it for the new w.g it would pretty much look like a normal external w/g header...

what would be the advantages of using an external w/g mounted on a stock line mani?

the only reason i was considering it was because i was having some issues with my w/g actuator and turbochargers.com was going to do the conversion for 250 installed so it was only 120 more than a high psi actuator and you also benifit from open w/g dump and if you ever go to a t3/t4 turbo you will already have your w/g for the new kit...

its just like buying a open dump o2 housing and a high psi actuator but cheaper...

No it is nothing like buying a dump and a high psi actuator. High PSI actuators really don't work that well. Idk about just welding on to the manifold to one runner. This is a twin scroll. Mine does both sides.
