Intercooler, Piping...

I ordered a JMF LICP for stock intercooler. My uicp keeps popping off. So instead if getting new t-bolt clamps, i am going to get the jmf uicp and mini batterykit.

My question is, should i get a new intercooler now while im doing that, or should i wait. I know some companies make intercoolers with stock-like outlets for stock piping. But is a intercooler with bigger outlets better? I know the intercooer piping wouldnt have any neckdowns then. I just dont want to get parts, then have to sell them later

Intercoolers allow for more aggressive tuning and consitant power pull after pull. Atleast a good IC will lol. You have a nice set up. IMO you would benifit from a good IC. Just make sure your outlet on the IC will fit with your UICP

Most aftermerket FMIC's are made for stock piping, so those that are should work with piping made for the stock FMIC. You don't really need an FMIC. Only if you really want one as long as you're just doing bolt-ons. All an FMIC will really do is, create max whp LONGER, just preventing heatsoak. You won't see a bunch of power gain from an FMIC.

As far as FMIC's go, AMS, ETS and Buschur are usually the top 3 choices All of them should work with whatever piping you buy.

Looks like Charlie just found his missing link swapping fmics or something, but I guess it wouldn't hurt. I swapped all of the piping to the BR kit w/ race fmic all at the same time.

Agreed. I had to have a little fab done to get the JMF uicp to fit with the BR race core. The outlet is in a different location than JMF planned for. Nothing that JMF couldnt fix

I have the BR licp. I am pretty sure for there Race IC you need there licp too i could be wrong though. JMF is a Fab shop. Theres no question in my mind that they could make there licp work with the BR IC you know and i know JMF work is top notch.

On another note. I think the AMS IC has the outlets in the factory location. So the JMF uicp and licp should fit but dont quote me on that

Feel free to hit me up on AIM or MSN i have the same names there

+1 on the BR race licp. It makes the bolt up so much easier. I believe cause of the design, other licp would probably have to be modified for it to fit.
