Lower timing in the alt ingnition maps should help. Hopeless people like me look for the disable p0300 test in the tuning section. I used it and have not thrown the code in a long time. I used to throw it every 7-10 sec. on the highway. It made my car almost unbearable to drive. I had to constantly take my foot of the throttle and get back on it.

Thread revival!!
I'm from Australia but the OP had the exact issue i do.
misfiring/stuttering at random times, always part throttle, and much MUCH worse when engine is cold. Sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders.
I also changed plugs and coilpacks. It was back within a week.
sounds like a carbon copy of Xpehbam's problem.
*OP - So how did you diagnose the Crank Angle Sensor as being faulty?*
I've got a IX with cosworth 272s / Green / 700cc injectors.
problem started approx 3 months after it was all installed, no CELs prior to this P0300.
clear it, and it's always back within an hour or so of driving.
