no boost after hallman install, help plz!

So I installed the hallman mbc today and after everythings put back together, I found there's virtually no boost coming from the turbo. I can floor the gas pedal but the boost could never go past 0psi. In gears the furthest it could go is a little over 0psi, maybe 3psi at most.

I'v capped the BCS, intake, and turbo nipples, and T'ed from bov line. Checked many times and couldnt spot anything's wrong.

so I'v searched hard here looking for an answer, but it seems most problems are related to boost spikes or creeps but not total loss of boost. any possible cause?

your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Maybe you hooked up the lines to the wrong nipple on the Boost controller, but if so you should be seeing aroung 12 psi(wastegate pressure) on your gauge if it's accurate.

Check your work again and make sure you cap the solenoid, turbo nipple etc. and get your pressure source from the wastegate actuator

I rechecked every nipple and connections and everything seems to be fine. There's just no boost coming out. And I cannot think of any reason the turbo may fail suddenly after a mbc install.

Not sure if it would make any difference but my car is lifted on car jack with four wheels removed, I suppose this wouldn't make the car not to boost at all?

Your not gonna boost unless your rolling, unless your using ur 2 step which i doubt since the car is on jacks...Put ur tires back on and take it for a spin

I tried to diagnose whether or not its the hallman thats causing the issue by disconnecting the in and out hose to the mbc unit and the same result.

Heard even if any connection is wrong the turbo should go upto 10~12psi which is wga pressure.

So i totally have no clue now as what to look for. The turbo shouldnt suddenly fail to work I suppose?

My wheels are gone for the moment so Im not able to let the car stands on the ground. Though all four corners are lifted but when I test in gears, the four wheel hub are actually spining as I push the gas just like the cars moving, so im not sure if this is the cause.

the defi gauge was working fine just before the install with readings of 21psi, so I didnt suspect it would be the culprit. And when the gauge says the boost doesnt go pass 0psi, i can feel the turbo is really not boosting

Without a load on the motor, you will have a hard time building boost. Wait till your wheels are back and retest.

+1....you wont build any boost because there is no load on the motor...you'll have to wait till you can ride around..or like another user said use the two step, the two step should build 5 - 12 psi..depending on your timing

Yes this theory has been in my head, but i wasnt sure of it. Yes even in 5th gear when i press in the gas the rpm will shoot up very freely just like when there is no load on the engine, the turbo do not get the chance to build the boost. OK the only thing I can do now is wait for the wheels instead of taking everything apart and back and forth.

Thanks for all the help you guys offered

well, you can check it, but I don't recommend this. Start the car, put it into 3rd gear and slightly step on the brake and gas at the same time. You should be able to get to 10 psi. Your best bet is get the wheels on the car and go for a drive. Good luck.
