Question Can a hallman Manual Boost Controller be bad for your car?????

I was thinking of getting a Hallman boost controller installed and my car so I can run 21psi all the way up to redline. Could this hurt my car in anyway or is it safe?

I never ran my boost over 19psi until I got a tune on the car. Just my two cents.

Mee too, but the tune doesn't really add a margin of safety. The tune lean things out. Pre tune richer conditions are technically safer.

IMHO--I'd get an exhaust or a flash before the MBC.

I think dynoflash now has a feature that holds the boost at 20psi without the MBC. Doing that kills two birds with one stone.

I give thumbs down for MBC. I give thumbs up for reflash/EMS + TBE.

you're at below 10afr by 4000 rpm on stock evo.

if you boost more, maybe it'll level out a bit better.

no, it wont hurt your car. it may take your turbo out sooner, but not by much compare to you running stock boost level.

tapering sucks.

Yes, is that a problem? If so, enlighten me as to what makes the stock one "junk."

just from what i read , search works great

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ck+boost+gauge

its like comparing the stock intake to an aftermarket one.
the aftermarket intake makes the stock one look and perform like 'junk'
