Hi, 2 weeks a go i get a 03 evo... and i have a problem, the 4th gear locked out at 3500-4000 rpms. if i put in 4th gear an floor the gas ´pedal at 3500-4000 the gear locked out!!... i try adjusting the clutch pedal and nothing....still the problem.... this only happen on 4th gear...

when i test the car before buy, this not happen, only grind on 5 gear... i told to the seller the problem, and they remove the tranny and change a bad synchro.... after that the problem come in... do you think is the oil??? im going to change the clutch, but i want to know if can be a synchro, i dont want remove the tranny twice....

Note: i made 2 dig launchs and i get clutch burn olor!!!

Is your clutch stock?

 

yes, is the stock clutch... (the mechanical tell me that when he removed the tranny), and i think they put sheap oil on the tranny...

Exact thing happens to me but from 1st to 2nd on the high RPM. Most likley the syncros.
