How many people here are running half width radiators?

we are considering building a very efficient half with rad for the evo... but Im not sure if there are enough people using them..

I think we can build something very efficient and lightweight.

let me know your thoughts...

we now have our evo 8/9 radiator, evo x radiator, subaru impreza radiator, etc..

we have been building custom rads for rally evo's and such... thinking of helping the drag guys whose kits may not clear our rad or a stock one...

i want someone to build a 3/4 radiator like 9sec9's...i really like that thing,leaves a nice opening to suck in fresh cool air

 

im in need of one ...used a civic fluidyne and all would do is overheat

 

thats why i want like a 3/4 radiator,i like to drive my car on hot days and i dont wanna have to worry about it melting down haha

 

That's why I use a stock rad with an aftermarket aluminum top. I want to DD my evo during the summer.

 

what is the benefeit of running an aluminum top vs stock...maybe relocated the upper hose?

Precisely, stock radiator is a very good design, and very efficient; just re-located upper hose/ -AN fitting. PS not trying hijack the thread at all. I am sure CB will come out with a kick *** design/product as usual. And I may consider it for weight savings!

 

i'd be done for one.

Currently running the Koyo aluminum radiator but its really thick and space is already tight as it is in the engine bay.

 

yea the koyo is nice, but ours offer superior cooling to stock with more clearance...

what do you guys want? 3/4 width" how wide can it be? I can build almost anything....

if you guys figure out some dimensions Ill build one.... If you PM me I'll do the first at a promotional/demo price for feedback.

As long as it uses stock hoses location and keeps the air box funnel, any size is good with me.

 

I think it would be a great idea for some of the bigger builds out there where the stock and slim radiator get in the way.
