Does the wastegate stay open at idle?

I just installed my FP4R cams the other day, but ve not been able to drive it because the brakes are apart right now. After the install I started the car to check things over & hear how it sounded. I noticed that it sounded louder in the engine bay area. When I put my hand under the dump tube I could feel exhaust coming out. I didn't do any other engine related mods when I did the cams & that car was running great before the install. It's quite possible it has always done this but I'm just now noticing it because of the agressive cams. Does anybody know if this is normal?

Did you install the O2 Dump with the stock OEM Gasket? If so then the exhaust is leaking into the dump tube. It needs a true divided gasket...

+1 The Unit needs to sit flush, if you used a stock gasket it'll leak. ironically the cheapo Megan Gaskets work perfectly as they are NOT divided. Ebay strikes again

I bought a new stock gasket when I did the install, because the Megan one looked like crap. Go figure, oh well atleast it's a fairly easy fix & this means it has been that way for a while anyway so it's not a new issue. Thanx guys.

Since the leak is after the wastegate it shouldn't effect anything but the sound right? It actually sounds cool so I may leave it. I'll see after I can test drive it.
