Oil pressure is WAY to high HELP new motor

at idle its fine about 30 psi well when i get on it just a little bit 3 or 4 pounds since im breaking it in oil pressure is wanting to go to 100psi real quick..

it started leaking out of my oil pump case somwhere and it was tightnd to spec...

ok im just now breaking in my new motor mods and oils below im thinking i need an evac system ive never heard of it before on an evo though??

30 over
ross pistons
pauter rods
balence shafts are out and holes are pluged up
gap on rings
top 16
second is 17 18
oil is retella 15 40
im sure the oil has a big part to it but im scared that the rings didnt get sealed good durring 20 mil break in i havnt yet did a compression test but will today im at 1000 miles on break in

any pics o evac system on an evo would be helpfull i still have no clue what they do

My 70K mile motor has 25psi at Idle and 100psi past 4k on a 80*+ day. This is on a Autometer Ultra Lite gauge stock oil pump. The oil pressure seems about right.

I am not sure what is going on with your setup, but my oil pressure is something like this:

Cold start idle: ~80psi
Warm start idle: ~25psi
WOT: as much as 120psi or so

This is all measured using my Defi oil pressure gauge.

ill see upwards of 110-115psi oil pressure even with oil temp at 220 degrees f. above 4000rpm, hot oil at idle will be 30-35psi, 1100rpm. 20w50 oil. stock oil pump, std. bearing clearances, no BS.

why are you on 15-40w oil?

I bet if you used standard weight oil the pressure would drop.

why dont you get a real oil pressure gauge first... and see how high your pressure actually gets.
