Kelford 272 Springs and Retainers

Just a quick one guys. I have been reading many times that Kelford 272s will require a spring upgrade but i emailed them yesterday and the response was:

"No you do not need to use them. The stock valve spring will be just fine."

Mind you this is on a car that will be keeping the stock rev limit and running no more than 24psi. I have no problem changing them if need be but i wanted to find out for sure if it is actually needed at all because Kelfords official response kind of puzzled me.

Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry guys should have added this to the other thread and now i can't find a delete button.

No problems here on the stock springs/retainers, although I wouldn't take it past 7900 rpm's.

$250-400 is cheap insurance to protect the engine.

The stock springs/retainers are fine with Kelford 272's as long as you stay at stock rev-limit.

+1

im rocking kelfords with stock springs. and i havnt had any problems yet.. the kelfords are not much bigger than the HKS 272s with a max of 10.8 lift where the kelfords are 11. i just keep a close eye on my rev limit, and try to not hit it.. definatly keep the rev limit at 7.5k!!

the cams are AWESOME! btw
