Car cuts out with Test Pipe installed

OK, here we go.. B4 i installed the testpipe i had the cat. Boost was set to 22psi. had no problems at all.. no knock or anything in 4th gear... Now when I installed my Testpipe i went for a drive.. around 4500-5000 the car just cuts out and then goes right back to what it was doing.. Boost dies all the way down, Then shoots back up.. Not sure if its fuel cut or something else. When the car "cuts out" i get a count of 7 knock... I turned the boost down to 21 and it still did it. but only got 4 knock. It wasnt doing this with the cat installed.. What could be the problem??

Its called boost cut. The newfound lack of backpressure is causing your turbo to spool a lot faster, initiating the boost cut.

Retune and research.

Are you using the Prosport gauge to monitor your boost? if so, most of their boost gauges are off by like 3 or 4 psi

first, prosport is junk...

second, assuming your running the cobb stage 2 map... that map is to be used with the stock BCS. Boost cut on that map is somewhere around 23-24psi, and it only has to be there for 1000ms for it to cut out. Also cobbs off the shelf maps (stage1 and stage2) are for a STOCK car or ONLY a turboback. the intake will throw the tune off, especially a high flowing intake like buschurs.

turn the boost down a little more, that will probably clean up the knock for now, get tuned, and enjoy!

ive turned it down 1lb so far.. so 21lbs.. and i do get less knock.. but that "boost cut" or w/e it is is still there.. im guna turn it down another lb and see if it goes away.. seems like it only happens in 4th gear.. oh and its Starting to get Really cold at night by me.. maybe that has something to do with boost too?
