WORKS ecu flash is 450.00. From the results I have seen it is a good bang for the buck.

Lean that ***** out and that fall will disappear!! It's so rich in the higher rpm's that it feels that way...

Yeah there is a notciable difference. Usually if you gain more than 5hp you can usually tell by the butt dyno, but we are talking almost a 30hp linear gain above 4000 rpm.

Im still missing where that extra 30 hp is evidenced by your dyno graph

It is a very messy graph. The GREEN is the stock numbers. The red and blue are both modded reflashed.

Ahhh, makes sense now. I was ignoring the green line.

Get an XEDE with the Plug and Play cable. Then you can plug in a plain stock SubZero map for now and when you mod, you can tune for it yourself or get a map that suits your mods.

Reflash = Black box, you can't see the tuning, you can't modify it yourself and you may ending up sending it back again or paying again if you modify.

XEDE = create/download a file with MAF, Timing and boost maps and burn it.

Stock Evo with XEDE pulls all the way to redline.

Um, what he said...

Our results:

The biggest gain by FAR was from leaning out the mixture above 5000 rpm.

Yes the SAFC will do the job. So will the HKS AFR, XEDE, Reflash, standalone etc. By far the best bang for the buck is the SAFC or the AFR. Easy way to gain 30WHP and when you decide to upgrade, the parts can be sold easier than lets say a "Reflash" or anything custom tailored to the EVO. I just recently insalled the SAFC2 and it is a whole new car after 5K

ok, your problem has nothing to do with some "flash" thing, the stock evo's ecu makes the A/F ratio extremely rich in high rpm's. It does this to keep you from blowing up the motor! If you want to make more power in high rpm's, get an AFC. Then you can decide how lean to make it. you will gain a lot of hp in the high rpm range... one thing though, dont blow it up!
