I mean that to upgrade a part and lose spool, response and power under 6900, and only make a little bit up top, doesn't sound like a good trade off.

When you think about it, Mitsubishi really nailed it on making a low / mid range performer in the stock intake manifold.

I understand a little better now.

I would agree with you because I love better spool myself. However you must consider the rpm band used when a car is racing and revs to 8 or 8500rpm the powerband is from no lower than 6000rpm so one would go faster with the M-V5 than the other two in this test. I would also state that the M-V5 only lost .2 seconds of response from the stock manifold compared to the older Magnus which was 2.2seconds slower than the stock intake manifold.
So the only trade you are making is a 150rpm spool, .2seconds of response, hardly any midrange loss (which can be focused on during tuning to get most or all back) for 37whp and increased power from 6100rpm...Only relative to whom you are talking.

Thanks for the reply that does make sense.

I'd do it if EvoM would erase my infractions.
