!MAF shrinkage at its best!

Well I never thought in a million years that this would happen to me but unfortunately, I was wrong. So here it is, appreciate it, it can very well happen to any of us running larger turbos. My car had been running poorly, what seemed like multiple misfires. I swapped out my spark plugs and put in the old ones to see if that would clear things up. That did absolutely nothing. My car would hiccup in all gears and would completely cut out if I loaded the car up nicely to try and hit full boost. I jacked the car up to check all intercooler pipe connections to see if I had a big boost leak. Everything was tight so I moved on to the intake, which I should have done first, and sure enough, this is what I saw.

So I'm currently stuck now, any help from a local guy would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if anybody has a maf lying around.

Haha, yes, I did. But to be quite honest, once I pulled the intake off to check the turbo to see if it was alright, which it was, I was quite relieved.

happened to me a couple years ago... if you retune the car you can run w/o the screen. consider yourself lucky that it didn't get sucked in.

I'd hate to hijack your thread Nick but I'm wondering if the FP Red + Meth setup I'll be running has enough ***** to do the same thing to my MAF? I've heard of some guys running without the screen, is this true?
