As I said earlier in this thread.... Dyno testing is only a small part of the equation...

The K&N on my bike flowed about the same as the AMSOIL filter. It also flowed a lot of dirt with it which I used Oil Analysis to confirm..

That is where this test will fall short, there has to be a balance between flow and filtration.

The Injen intake with the AMSOIL EA Series filter netted 24 WHP on an EVO VIII

Thanks Doc, appreciate it!

Chad (CBRD), I currently have the Vibrant on my car and have always figured it does a poor job filtering and probably doesn't flow the greatest. The Vibrant filter is the same one Buschur now includes with his intake kit. I wonder if he has tested it against others?

Dave does a good job with researching before he does something.

Well if he does a good job testing why does he use something that you said was inferior at filtration and performance?

I have the Vibrant so that's why I want to know what Chad thinks and waiting for this test to help with my decision on what to get.

The performance of the vibrant wasn't inferior....

the perrin has proven to be the best so far of anything we have tested in performance... I have seen no detrimental effects of filtering over the course of the past few months......... we have had blitz, vibrant, k&n (various sizes), Amsoil, original injen filter... etc...

the car will the vibrant on it, had used it for awhile... there was a decent amount of dirt in the maf inlet.... This filter doesnt get oil or anything so it's apparently solely relying on the element to do the filtering....

and as far as dave's intakes.. he has had two versions... one had the adapter plate built in, the other uses a vibrant adapter plate and a fiter...

Thanks for the response Chad... I've been using the Vibrant filter and adapter for about a 1000 miles but I'm leaning towards the Perrin if I can get a decent price on it.

The Perrin has a 4.5" diameter attachment.

What are you guys using to adapt it to a 3" or 4" intake tube?

Jeff has some different diameter filers..

Ill have to check with him, all of our testing was done on 300-450whp stock ecu cars with maf adapter plate.
