Remember, IX turbo is still a 16G turbo but with 20G housing. 10whp is just the average, I pmed warrtalon about his ix turbo setup; he claimed that after swap to IX turbo he gain 25whp w/out changing the tune.

And yes, you can send in the IX turbo to turn it into green or red, it's definitely good turbo to have.

Im thinking some one should post that somewhere on here for all the guys about to run a RED or Green turbo. They wont ever need anything other than the lines, so $65 bucks from slowboy shipped is a steal compared to the 170 bucks everyone else wants.

Please sticky that some how or start a new thread on install kits for 9 turbo on a 8 or running a red or green on an 8

Slowboy Racing......water lines/oil lines/copper crush gaskets/ and cold side outlet gasket $65 shipped!!!

Actually, in addition to the oil and coolant lines, you need to get the šJštube, also known as the compressor discharge tube from a IX turbo. Otherwise, there will be contact between the VIII šJš tube and the starter motor, causing a short circuit and possible ECU damage, and a fire hazard as well.

You can get the parts you need from the Mitsu dealership for about $70. Or else there is a thread somewhere on here if you search for it which lists all the needed Mitsu part numbers for the oil feed and return lines and ditto for the coolant lines, as well as the aforementioned šJštube.
