What do you mean "cap" and how exactly is it leaking? Is air going in or out of the valve cover? Do you have these krank vents? If air is coming out of the valve cover then the krank vents are working properly but means you may have some blow-by issues in your engine. If air is going IN the valve cover then the krank vent is leaking but why you're pressurizing that during a boost leak test is odd to me. Please better explain the issues you're facing; all of your posts seem very vague to me.

well, during the boost test, i was under the impression you are to connect turbo inlet to your compressor, and charge the system from there.....unless i'm doin that wrong and you are suppose to cap off the uicp and basically you are running air from turbo inlet to uicp..

doing it my way will result in air coming from the crank case vents.

This leads be to believe either you have blow-by or your stock PCV valve is leaking; lucky for you the vents I linked to on the first page help fix both those problems. Running a vacuum in your crankcase will help the piston rings seal better lessening blow-by and oil consumption. The vent that goes between the PCV valve and the intake manifold will also fix the problem of a leaky stock PCV valve.

Sounds to me like you should order a set. For ~$40 they are only going to help and if you're like every other person with them you'll be very happy

Everything from the MAF - on, including air circulation in the sump and rocker spaces, is a closed system. When venting, either metered air wont make it's way into the charge or unmetered air makes it's way in and the car will run bad.

Worse case scenerio would have the checkvalve stick open (or be inadvertantly removed) allowing cranckcase boosting with exciting plumes of smoke. Advance your intake cam and you might get some smoke rings with your VTA BOV.

Myself and many other Evo's that I know of are running these things with great results.
I really don't understand what these things are...whats the point in these things???

will these valves work in my setup???

PCV - Catch can - atmosphere

valve cover Breather - catch can - atmpsphere

thats the inline setup that I have, will it work for that ro do you have to have vaccum?
