i think the 4088R makes more sense for what you are trying to do. Most of the misinformed salesman on this forum seem to think the twinscroll 40R is junk and singlescroll hta is the way to go, so im sure once we see more results like these there will be a 40R hta cant wait to see what it does in a singlescroll housing

it wouldnt hurt to take a look at the twinscroll T4 borgwarner turbos 60mm, 62mm and 66mm.

also you might benefit from some bigger cams and adjustable cam gears

I am sure I am going to get hammered for saying this but what about changing out your head for the AMS CNC'd Head? The gains they made with that head were HUGE!

The head i have is fine. I dont wanna spend money on a cnc'ed head. I would do an intake manifold before i did a different head.

your mods look great.
Like you said the only thing i would change is maybe get an IM...
other than that you good to go.
I for one don't see you making a ton more power with the 40r but i reckon you will most def have more area under the graph for sure and that makes for a good power band.

try it...

Im not looking to make a ton more power. I would really like to make upper 600's lower 700's with a good powerband.

Thanks for you comments

Oh btw do you have any videos of your car?

you should make that power easy with a bit of boost and your powerband will be great.
Like i said next step for you is a good quality IM and then you sorted.
IF you willing to pull your aircon out Full race make a kit with less of a bend on the hot side of the turbo and i am sure that will make a bit more power.
Also you can go with thicker headers as well which they make.

But Geoff is the best man to speak as he advised me on this setup.
Sorry no videos of my car.
when it tuned and running 40 psi i will show you 40r TS vs 911 GT2
Good luck

Ok, but you should be aware that competent head porting will increase power per unit of boost pressure. This is one of the best mods one can make, especially with an increased displacement motor, which will expose the limitations of the ports in a 2.4L 20% earlier than a 2.0L.

You should also be aware that contrary to one might think, enlargening the valves in otherwise factory ports may very well reduce flow.

The better the head flows, the quicker the spool and the more power there is to be made. A factory EVO head is no barn-burner out the box, so be advised that by all reasonable measures, it is undersized for your application. The head is the weak component in your build.

Ted, thanks for the info. I didnt know that it would make more of a difference on a bigger motor but it make sense.

My head is ported somewhat. Mainly for the rough castings but heres some pics

Why did his boost taper? Because of the smaller hotside?

Would the .96 a/r be the best for my setup or the 1.06 a/r?

Go with the smallest A/R that allows you to reach your PEAK HP goals.

if 750 is enough, go with his a/r

Very true I just dont want my hp to fall off horribly after it peaks and the boost starts to taper.
