Any preliminary pricing on the new set of gears? Also to clarify is TRE referring to this current "fall"(Nov 2008) or next year (2009)? I'm looking forward to a built 6 speed.

It's only negative when you have a 2.3 then a 4.11 final drive is recommended

That is your opinion, which you are welcome to have.

However, I don't share it. Every issue can be solved given enough time, money and determination.

The way Jon phrased it to me, it seemed like it would be this fall which is now. I am focusing on some MIL.SPEC projects, so I won't be ordering this 6 speed for another 6 months or so.

On the Subject of the 6-Spd

What can we do to decrease the throw length? It's really starting to bug me . . .

Also, can the shift knob be changed to something that's *NOT* metal? It sucks to touch after sitting outside all day in the Vegas summers AND winters.

Not whining - just wondering what my options are.

IIRC, the JDM 6 speed shifter knob is covered in leather. Also, Works has a 6 speed short-throw shifter. The throw on the 6 speed doesn't bother me at all.

for quarter mile maybe, but for roadcourse the 6 speed is really a gem.

I put most of the faulures of the 6 speed dude to over heating.
and ye the 4,56, gears are tiny as well, but i love this box.

Oh, solid - thanks for the info! Will the JDM 6 spd shift knob fit on us shifters?

Would you mind posting a link to the Works product? I can't seem to find it on their site; all I can find is the 5-spd short throw shifter.
