Is installing an upgraded FMIC and LICP going to be much benefit to someone running meth with the stock IX turbo?

 

Yes LICP will help the turby spool better and the FMIC will help since you are running meth and having a higher power output, I run fmic, licp,meth and other bolt ons = sick

 

I've got the basic bolt ons now but I'm going to do a similar setup. I'm probably going to do cams, headstuds, fmic, and licp first and then go to meth later on next year to max out the stock turbo. How do you like the Labonte kit? I was thinking Aquamist HFS-1.

And then that will be it for me. lol.

Yep got a cone intake, tbe, and walbro on there already.

 

Before I installed my FMIC and meth I was 310hp/295tq. After the tune for ONLY FMIC and meth I was 348hp/373tq. Obviously the meth was the biggest gainer but if you do any kind of racing in any heat, maybe not up there?, the FMIC will be worth it.

 

I pretty much have full boltons minus the Invidia turbo manifold I havent put on yet, and I dont have an o2 housing. I dont have cams, nor do I have headstuds.

The labonte kit is sweet I got a great deal from 4wstuning hit him up and tell him i sent you, make sure whatever you get you get failsafes.

I think you should finish what you said you were going to do "cams, headstuds, fmic, and licp first" then go meth, but if you want more power than the cams will give you for less money first get the meth kit in.

 

Do you have an VIII or a IX, i have a IX and without cams putting down about 420

 

Did 4WS do the install or did you?

I did most of the install, he stopped by at one point and helped me with a coupld of the wires. I try to do as much of my own work as possible unless I simply dont have the tools to do so, or the know how.
