8 to 9 turbo swap. Did i do wrong?

Hey guys. i have an 03 evo 8 and just swapped the evo 9 turbo. Am i supposed to use the stock evo 8 oil/water lines or do i need to use the evo 9 oil/water lines? Thanks. The only reason i ask is because the upper oil line that goes into the head- the part where it bolts in- that holes threads got stripped. So now i have to take a helacoil to it to re-thread it.

most buy the install kit but you can just bend the viii lines to work. I'm still using the stock lines with no probs.

On my swap I still used the stock evo 8 lines for the 9 turbo no problem. As long as you take your time and dont wrench on them you can bend them to your likely easily. Just less money to spend on un-needed things.

You have to use the 9 turbo outlet pipe or else you will blow up your battery when the starter ARCs against the Evo 8 outlet pipe.

Yes, that's the only part you really HAVE to have. All of the lines fit up with some minor persuasion. (ie. bending them)

How far in is the bolthole stripped? Are you sure that itīs the internal threads and not just the bolt thatīs stripped?
