I'm interested if VIII 10.5 and IX hotsides are the same, (to bolt 8 hotside to the 9 turbo)
and
if the IX oil/water lines are same as VIII. if not, which lines do I need to bolt up 9 turbo on evo 8. original VIII ones or the lines that will come with IX turbo ?

Most of this can be found on here already, they are not 100% the same the evo 8 10.5 has a double flapper & the 9 I purchased from a dealer had a bigger single flapper but they should bolt up just fine. One of the lines is different i want to say it was the oil lines but I could be wrong haven't taken one off in awhile. I would buy a IX install kit anyways because the J pipe will be different.

8's had single flapper hoisings as well. I personally have the one

 

Not sure on that the 03 and this 05 are both double flappers. the only single I've seen was my FPgreen and the stock IX.
