FP Red+?? Intake

I was just wondering what you guys think is the best Intake+piping to match an FP Red Turbo. Price is no object, shoot me with whatever you think works the best.

Thanks in advance everyone,

big ball'n, huh?

one that works! A drop in filter will work. cone filter works better. my RED should be coming in either this week or next (they guaranteed) and i'm using a K&N cone filter, which has worked out really good for me. guys here use the HKS and greddy open filters, but the majority stay away from them.

My current intake is a cone filter, but i'm not sure on brand, owner before be stuck it in. It looks just like red busher filter, but instead of a silver top its polished red. Still riding on stock piping which i need to get rid of, my buddie was gonna give me injen piping he had in his SRT4, but I was sure if it would fit my IX. Regardless, I still want as much performance I can get out of the FP red, I don't want the intake bottle-necking it.

anything other than a unmodified stock airbox, as the red outflows the stock airbox.

Look at that new Perrin set up

I went with an Injen intake and upper and lower IC set up ($400 or less neighborhood) with my Red.

Big boost will expose any weaknesses in your piping.

Also look at the IC itself, if your stock, you'll not realize the potential of the Red, (at least safely).

Don't forget a good BOV (Forge or something that'll hold your target boost range).

T-Clamps all around are good idea as well. Those little wimpy hose clamps are bad news.

Hello,

Are you running a stock MAF? if not, we can build a 4" intake pipe w/ a 9" tall KN filter. This will work perfect for the FP Red. If interested give me a call or pm!

We can also build a MAF intake if needed. Let me know!

Thanks,

Michael

I'm thinking of going with just the Injen piping and the cone filter I already have, granted the SRT injen short ram is the same for the IX
