AMS Resonated Test Pipe

Does anyone have this and could comment on how much quieter it is compared to the straight test pipe? I have the AMS TBE w/ test pipe right now and it is just a bit too loud for my taste...id like to get the resonated test pipe but want to make sure that its actually worth it for how much sound it suppresses.

Thanks

I have one that is exactly the same...theirs is made for their 3bolt exhaust. I bought the same Vibrant muffler and had my own made. It quieted down my exhaust quite a bit.

No, if I remember correctly, AMS uses a 3- bolt flange instead of the standard 2-bolt.

right. I guess cutting and welding would do the trick then.

Cool. Did you replace your cat with it, or is it in addition to the cat? I would like to have it in addition to my Perrin HFC.

I had the straight test pipe on my car and it was annoying loud, I changed back to the resonated pipe and was much quieter and made the car enjoyable to drive again

how much of a difference is there in power between a resonator and a straight test pipe?

the Megan is much cheaper and narrower, which I like - but, does it reduce noise to the same extent as the AMS?

the megan pipe didnt do much for my perrin exhaust to quiet it down. but on my ams exhaust the resonated pipe makes a world of difference
