DESPERATE help on XEDE install!!!

By refering to this ECU diagram:

http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...-ecuwiring.htm

...does anyone know which "light green wire" is the boost control wire on step 5 of Vishnu's XEDE install (http://www.vishnutuning.com/xede_evo_installation.htm)??? there is more than one light green wire on that connector and i am VERY confused...

thanks!

Hi there - I went through this earlier tonight. The green wire you are looking for is the one on the right most plug - not the one the XEDE harness connects to. It's the 3rd wire in on the yellow side of that harness.

Mine is in and my car is hitting much harder now

If you have the 90$ plug and play thing do you still have to cut wires?

u have to unplug some wire from the factory ECU connector into the XEDE unit itself...

To get the wire out of the harness I used a small, flat bladed jewelers screwdriver. I pushed the flat end down into the upright part of the inverted "T" to release the catch. It was a pain the first time I tried it; after that it was easy.

Ryanmcd2 - No cutting required; you need to pop one contact out of an ecu connector and replace it with a contact from the Vishnu harness. You then connect the contact you popped out to another point on the Vishnu harness. It was a snap once I knew which contact to replace.

Any hints about pulling the white insert from the connector. When I installed an alarm I tried pulling these and decided for four connectors I would break one of them. Thus in this case I used taps.

Is there a release I missed or is it just a friction fit?

You don't need to remove the white connectors; you only need to get them to click to the unclamped position. After that you need to use a screwdriver (or similiar) to release the individual pins.

It might be possible to pop the whole white locking bar off by compressing each side where it locks into the connector; but then you might risk having all your pins fall loose....
