Okay, here is my vid.

Please excuse the quality and the jumpiness...I am really tired.

Now mind you, there will be a lil noise due to my car being gutted, AMS mustache bar eliminator, bushings, etc. It is NOTHING like the first vid I posted on page one.

My next post will be the solution.

What my temp fix is:

Shop rags between the gas tank and those damn aluminum shields.

Damn bolts are tight that hold em in, they still even have the little rubber thingd on them to prevent the noise, but alas, they still made noise.

I cannot explain to you guys how much time, effort, and $$$$ was put into chasing this ***** down.

A much deserved thanks to Blackdog Racing for their UNBELIEVABLE customer service on my first visit there. You guys don't even specialize in Evos, and treated me as I had spent tens of thousands of dollars with you guys. Without your suggestion, I would still be looking for this noise. You have a new customer.

And another thank you to my tuner Kunal, with out your tune, my car would not be running the way it is in the vid.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help guys, my quest is over.

Awesome, I have the exact same noise!

What angle is that picture taken from?

So the noise is coming from the rear?? Would have never guessed.

So the noise is totally gone??

I'm guessing lighter flywheel is causing more vibration. Thanks for posting

I'm just going to remove the shields all together. I shoved shop rags in at every shield, just to keep em tight. As opposed to them just flopping around.

If you read my first post, I thought it was a noise being sent down the drive shaft...to the rear of the car. I built my diff, tc, etc to no avail.

My car is gutted, and with that I can accept the noises that I now have because I can explain where they are being emitted from.

The other noises in my first vid, boggled me until today.

Thanks, didn't even realize there were aluminum shields back there.
I'm gonna try the same and see how hard it is to remove them or stuff them still.

If it works, you saved me from changing out clutch ,TOB etc....

Just an FYI, there are only two shields that are able to be removed.

There is on larger one that runs under the drive shaft which cannot be removed. The shop rags will have to suffice until I find a better solution for that one.

All in all though, I am pretty happy with the results.

I will check the shield too. A local shop told me it was possible it may be my throw out bearing.
