clutch locking me out of gears pressed in

hey guys i am having this problem of my exedy twin locking me out in the morning when my car is cold it is very hard to get into gear when i press the pedal all the way down.

when the car is still cold in the morning i can press the clutch pedal half way and the clutch engages and dis engages fine can the clutch pedal being pressed in to much cause disengagement issues. thanks guys in advance.

You need to turn the rod going from your clutch pedal into the clutch master cyl. counter clockwise about 2 turns back into the bracket on the clutch pedal assembly..You will need to move the clutch switch to get to the rod under the steering wheel.. good luck.

I have a smillar (the same) problem with my Exedy twin - when the car is cold it doesn't like to go into gear. If I fiddle with the stick a bit it I can get into gear though...and after the car's up to temp everything's pretty much fine. Occasionally at a light or somehting I'll have to twiddle to get into gear again though.

Still bites hard and everything, no slippage.

Hopefully the above advice will help but open to other input

I would attempt the clutch rod adjustment. This could remedy your concern.

Check pedal height. Use search to find a link. Adjusting the rod on the pedal is the ticket.

If it's just tough to get into reverse, put it all the way into first and second first, then try reverse. If it's tough to get into first, try reverse first.

You may want to bleed your slave cylinder and check the fluid, too!

Good luck!

like everybody else said, pedal adjustment.
but dont rule out the possibility of your trans being jacked up, or in need of a fluid change.
My old act clutch killed my trans hardcore, didnt realize until after i installed my exedy twin and still had trouble shifting. All my syncro's, shift collars, and gears 2-5 needed to be replaced, plus some other things too.
Built trans solved all my problems.... so far, haha.
But if you havent had shifting troubles before the exedy, it probably just needs a pedal adjustment.

I'm sure the clutch is on it's way out. The Exedy's really do not slip, even when they are almost done. How many miles are on the clutch?

the exedy twin will want to be backed IN not out like the act's..Mine was overextending..Adjust so engagement is CLOSER to the floor, not higher...It sounds stupid but this is what worked on my car, now it's like night and day difference..
