a basic rebuild from shep is like 890 or somthin but expect to pay 500-900 for a shop to drop it and put it back in...then shipping for the trans to and from shep(not quite sure if its included or how much it is) and dont forget to option the tranny out with all the goodies lol....it seems like a heafty pricetag to me

lol i dont get it dude just get your tranny dropped and send it in to sheps to get fixed. I mean in the long run that might be the cheapest route. Rather than blowing your tranny and other things going wrong. But its your car i just say get it done if you have to. I just took alook at there website never been there prices are not that bad at all really.

New Transmissions
Stage 1 We take a new EVO trans and modify it to the same specs as our street strip trans. We have several gear ratio choices available some at no additional charge. We can normally ship new transmissions out in 3-5 days.

We take your trans and apply all applicable technical service bulletins and updates as well as modify the oiling system and a few other tricks to make it shift really well. The $895 is for a 5-speed I think.

Either way here is the update...........I argued with the stealership enough and now it might be covered under warranty. Im not expecting them to cover it so I have a Sheperd tranny on the way....
