Oil leak or Busted CV Joint
Everytime I come home there is brown fluid leaking beneath the oil filter. Just like a few drops a day. Ive replaced two filters already and still not working so i dont think it is that. All the lines dont seem to be leaking but they are full of grease. The grease is all over the place from the oil filter all the way to the inner cv joint and also to the transfer case. My oil dipstick level is always in the same place. I was cleaning it today as I was looking for the cause of the leak and the stuff is really thick grease and its dark dark black. And the inner cv joint drips as well so Im thinking it is the cause.
One more thing I took my car to get the timing belt done and one of the bolts above the oil filter (small bolt 12 mm) does not tighten all the way. I think they may have stripped it but I dont think thats the cause of the leak but maybe you can inform me otherwise.
thanks guys =]

Could be both but one thing is for sure, there shouldn't be grease everywhere. That would be a ruptured CV boot.
If the boot is bad but not yet contaminated you can simply fix it with a universal boot.
Once repaired, wipe everything down and spray it off with brake parts cleaner. Then trace the source of the oil.
