Buschur Racing Mass Air pipe & Filter!?! The Good and the Bad?!?

I want to ditch the Perrin Intake and want to get the BR hard intake pipe and filter kit. On the BR site it says that you should get a K&N Breather Filter and to run a speed density setup. If I run that pipe and just get it reflashed again, would there be any problems? or would it run fine with a reflash? im unsure what a speed density setup is and why the K&N Breather filter is needed because of this pipe? Please help... lol

you'll probably just need your tune tweaked for it.

speed density isn't for the stock ecu.

you need this mas adapter and pipe kit

and you need the breather filter

Why do you want to get Buschur's filter? Its nothing more than a Vibrant kit at more than double the price.

http://www.maperformance.com/evo-vii...takes-vibrant/

I have the Buschur intake pipe and Vibrant air filter kit and it works well. It works fine with the stock MAS. You will need to get a filter for the breather tube unless you drill a hole and screw a bung into the Buschur pipe (which I did).

So Vibrant makes an Intake Pipe?? Obviously buschur doesnt manufacturer air filters.. So the injen kit is just a KN filter or does it come with an intake pipe?? compare apples to apples..

Buschur = $80: https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...products_id=77

The Vibrant I linked to is less than half the price at $39. Last time I checked though, Buschur was taking them out of the Vibrant box (this was a year ago though, maybe they leave it in the box now). For the extra $41 you get some flimsy bracket that isn't even needed with the hard pipe (or fit for that matter).

I obviously misworded my post; I was referring only to the filter and MAS adaptor.

So buy them separately.

Anyways, this thread has gone way OT. I was merely trying to point out a way for the OP to save a few bucks.

Wow, is it hard for you to realize why s2k brought up the filter price? Maybe, no I should say hopefully, you didn't know you could buy them separately.

to the OP if you want to save a few bucks buy them separately.

to all the rest, telling the truth isn't bashing sometimes.

Yep you can buy the MAF pipe for 210.00 then the filter and adapter elsewhere for 40.00 and pay shipping and it comes to 260.00 just like the kit if you buy it from Buschur complete.. I dont really see much savings there..
