Evo + Honda = boosty goodness
Awesome project! Your welding looks fantastic for a beginner and it seems that you have everything pretty well thought out. I'm not too sure about the 250whp on stock rods though, even with good tuning a6/z6 rods tend to tweak a bit and usually the ringlands are the first things to break. Either way good luck with it!
Phil! you really need to post up so more pix of your setup.
We are using the same manifold but his is robot welded and tagged, sell out, hahaha, jk
And 250 whp is totally feasible. Another guy here @ the shop has a bone stock d15b that put out 250 whp and 250 tq @ 18 psi on crappy Arizona 91 pump with a smallish t25. Phil's engine is also a d15 but uber-gangster dual stage
. I bet he should be around 250 with about a bar.
I still haven't tuned mine yet but I beat the crap out of it and run up to about 12 psi without anything blowing up, hahaha. It can handle short bursts but really doesn't like any sustained boost over 3 or 4 psi. And these evo turbos spool quick like a bunny
