Stroking the spare shortblock... turbo suggestions?

I am currently in the market for a good turbo to throw on my current setup (sig). I am also in the meantime, building a 2.3 stroker using a spare shortblock. I am looking for a turbo that will add some good power to the current setup and then be still pretty efficient with the stroker. Not looking for HUGE hp here, just around 450+ with decent spool. I am currently tuned with 91, but meth or e85 is forseeable in the near future. Torn between the green and the bbk full. If anyone has any thoughts or personal experience, I should would like to hear it. Thanks.

I say go with the T67 turbo. Lag on a stroker is not bad AT ALL. If you don't want a lot of poer, keep the boost low. On 20 psi my car made over 500whp.

Try the FR kit w/ the GT4088R; I've seen a few posts with some killer graphs on that combo.

Alternatively, if you want a turbo that's rebuildable, you might select a BW S300SX 91-79 (which is supposed to flow a bit more air than the GT4088 yet spool the same). You'll save some money with the B/W over the Garrett.

People have also been having a lot of success with the GT35R on a 2.3L stroker (again the FR kit). The B/W that's comparable to the GT35R is a BW S300SX 83-75.

Geoff (@ FR) did a head to head test between the GT35R v. the BW S300SX 83-75 and the BW seemed to be the winner on a stock block. Transient response, spool, cost, durability, and rebuildability were all deciding factors.

FP RED or like a GT30R 35R might be to much for what you want but def will make good power for 450 whp you really wont get a 35R into its efficiency rang I think... A FP RED and 30R should be good for that area.

Run a twin scroll 35r with a billet compressor wheel.

I actually have the line on a good, barely used ATP gt30r turbo kit. However, whenever I have mentioned this kit in previous threads, a lot of you have said it is an outdated, inefficient kit. ?????? Help guys, I am having a kid in may, and I HAVE to get this done before then. God knows there will be no more $ when the baby gets here.

do it, then if it does not perform to your liking you can convert it to a true T3 setup later
